Qwackly

Rate Management

Change a rate once. Every agent quotes it the same minute.

Rate sheets emailed around the office go stale the day they are sent. Qwackly keeps one versioned rate book that every agent, form and link reads from, so a change is published once and applied everywhere.

Capabilities

What you get out of the box

Versioned like a document

Every edit creates a draft. Drafts are reviewed, approved and published as a new version, and every quote records the version it was priced on. Nothing is overwritten.

Scheduled effective dates

Publish now or set the exact date and time a new version takes over, such as the first of the month.

Impact preview

Re-price a sample of recent quotes on the draft to see the effect before anyone is quoted on it.

Side-by-side diff

See exactly which rates, factors and bands changed between any two versions.

Role-based editing

Only the people you nominate can edit or publish rates. Agents can quote, not change pricing.

How it runs

How a rate change reaches the field.

The same four steps whether you are changing one base rate or restructuring an entire line.

  1. Step 01

    Draft

Edit base rates, factors, bands or discounts in a draft copy of the current version.

  2. Step 02

    Preview

Run the impact preview on recent quotes and review the differences line by line.

  3. Step 03

    Approve

A nominated approver signs off. Their name and time are stored with the version.

  4. Step 04

    Publish

The new version goes live at the scheduled time for every agent, form and link.

Questions

Asked by teams like yours

Can we import our existing rate sheets?
Yes. Most teams start by importing their current spreadsheets. We map the columns to rate book tables with you during onboarding and verify figures against past quotes.
What happens to quotes already sent when rates change?
They keep the price and version they were issued on until their validity window ends. After that, they re-price on the current version, and the breakdown shows what changed.
Can different branches have different rates?
Yes, on the Agency plan. Branch-level overrides sit on top of the central rate book and are versioned the same way, so head office can always see what each branch is quoting.
Is there a record of who changed what?
Every draft, approval and publish is logged with the user, time and a full diff. The log cannot be edited.
